HMS Eagle

HMS Eagle taken in 1937.

HMS Eagle was originally a battleship built for the Chilean navy. She was converted shortly after the First World War to be the first of a new generation of aircraft carriers.
She carried a compliment of 17 Swordfish biplanes when refitted.
