Attack on Alexandria

On the 19th December 1941 the Italians attacked the port of Alexandria with Human Torpedoes of the Decima Flottiglia MAS. They inflicted damage to the battleships HMS Valiant & Queen Elizabeth, the tanker Sagona & HMS Jervis (destroyer).
Two Italian frogmen were captured & interrogated right above the area of the keel where the explosion was to occur. They refused to give any information. This attack was planned to disrupt attacks on axis supply convoys destined to resupply Rommel in north Africa.
